America's Next Top Model Cycle 5 Episode 4

The Girl Who Makes A Disclaimer
Fashion Victims In A Moving Platform

First Call-out

Jayla Rubinelli

Order of Call-out: Kyle Kavanagh, Nik Pace, Bre Scullark, Lisa D'Amato, Diane Hernandez, Coryn Woitel, Nicole Linkletter, Kim Stolz

Eliminated

Sarah Rhoades

Note: Was sad to see Sarah go on this episode. Was even more sad to see Diane still stay. I don't really like her photo. Aside from her looking old in the photo I just don't see Top Model potential in her. Like what I said, pretty face but isn't model material.

First Call-out:

Cassandra Whitehead

Order of Call-out: Nicole Linkletter, Coryn Woitel, Kim Stolz, Lisa D'Amato, Nik Pace, Bre Scullark, Jayla Rubinelli, Sarah Rhoades, Kyle Kavanagh, Diane Hernandez

Eliminated:

Ebony Taylor

Note: I understand why Ebony was eliminated in this competition but I think that she had more potential in going further compared to Diane. She just doesn't bring anything on the table for me. I thought that her photo was just bland and boring. Personality wise? I do not think that she would come close to how Ebony is. I do not have issues with her or her figure; it's just that she doesn't look like a model AT ALL. A pretty face but not model material.

The Girls Become Superheroes

First Call-out

Nik Pace

Order of Call-out: Lisa D'Amato, Cassandra Whitehead, Diane Hernandez, Jayla Rubinelli, Kyle Kavanagh, Bre Scullark, Ebony Taylor, Coryn Woitel, Nicole Linkletter, Kim Stolz, Sarah Rhoades

Eliminated

Ashley Black

Note: This was a shocker! I never expected this rigged show could get any rigger than it is actually rigged. It was very unfair for the judges to eliminate Ashley because of her look. What about Diane? She does not look like a model AT ALL. I am pretty sure that a lot of people agree with this episode being roughly unfair and biased. Completely disgusted with this episode.

The Final 13

36 girls started out the casting process with a series of pose-offs and an interview from Miss J, Mr. Jay, and Tyra Banks. After the initial screening the girls were lead to a dressing station with a rack holding 20 photos. These 20 photos will determine the 20 contestants that will still be in the running for America's Next Top Model Cycle 5.

Order of Call-out: Cassandra Whitehead, Nik Pace, Kyle Kavanagh, Ashley Black, Bre Scullark, Kim Stolz, Sarah Rhoades, Jayla Rubinelli, Coryn Woitel, Nicole Linkletter, Diane Hernandez, Lisa D'Amato, Ebony Taylor

Note: Once again, there were girls that looked really good, even better than the other 13 girls. This season is where I started to realize that this reality show is more focused on the drama of the girls other than talent. A lot of girls with really good potential didn't make it, but then again, who am I to complain? this is after all a rigged reality show. And speaking of forced dramatization and fakery, Tyra Banks call the shots.

Tyra had doubts about whether Cassandra was more dedicated to pageants or modeling, so she decided to test Cassandra's resolve by giving her a very short blonde hairdo similar to Mia Farrow's character in Rosemary's Baby. Despite much consideration and a major breakdown which surprised everyone, Cassandra went through with the makeover. Before the shoot for the 4th episode, Jayla and Cassandra had to get their short hair cuts. Jayla's was successful, while Cassandra was unwilling to have her hair cut shorter and she refused this assignment. In the end, Cassandra decided to quit and leave the competition.

Note: Was sad to see her go, was sad to see her not understand her hair (I loved it! I find it very fashionable and edgy). I remember her talking to her mom on the phone and her mom ask her if her hair was more important than the competition. Guess what? my point exactly.
