America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 Episode 13 Finale

Finale Part 2: America’s Next Top Model Is...

Winner of America's Next Top Model Cycle 12
Teyona Anderson and Tyra Banks

Final Runway

The Big Reveal

The final two shot their Seventeen magazine cover tries where they both excelled and impressed Ann Shoket. Later, for their final performance, Allison and Teyona arrived at Ibirapuera Auditoriumfor competed in a Rosa Chá swimsuit fashion show where they had to strut a sultry walk, dance in samba movement and crawl provocatively at the end of the show. Cycle 11 winner McKey Sullivan joined the girls for the show.

At panel, Allison was commended for her significant improvements throughout the competition as well as for her strong walk, which also improved immensely from being the worst of the bunch. Teyona's walk was criticized for looking somewhat robotic, though she was still praised for her stellar photos. The judges felt that both finalists had their own strengths; Teyona was lauded for her versatile portfolio that translated into booking ability, creativity during photo shoots, and genuine personality while Allison's high fashion and editorial look could book her international fashion shows.

Winner of America's Next Top Model Cycle 12

Note: I will jump the bandwagon and say that Allison should have won. I would have really wanted her to win. Don't get me wrong I also love Teyona as I find her photos fitting the category of 'high fashion' but I do believe that Allison had better photos than her. See how Allison took everything when Tyra didn't announce her as the winner? I know right. She has a really cool and undefeated approach towards the whole thing. Good for you Allison! Good for you.

Call-out Order

McKey Sullivan

Samantha Potter

Eliminated

Note: It saddened me to see Analeigh go. She was way better than Samantha. I don't really know why ANTM chose this photo to represent. I know she has done a lot of really good photos but the show somehow went out of it's way and rigged whatever it is that needs to be rigged. Analeigh deserved the top 2 spot.

Call-out Order

Anya Kop

Whitney Thompson

Eliminated

Fatima Siad

Note: ANTM continues to disappoint. Fatima was a better model than Whitney. She had better photos and a better personality than Whitney. This never ends does it? Streaks of one worse elimination after another. ANTM surely knows how to waste ratings. This show is obviously staged and rigged to the highest level. Nuff said.

Behind the scenes Saleisha consoled Chantal, who was slightly distraught about tripping the stilt performer.

Finale Part 2: The Girl Who Becomes America's Next Top Model

Winner of America's Next Top Model Cycle 8
Tyra Banks & Jaslene Gonzalez

Final Runway

The next day, the final two shot their covers for Seventeen magazine. Tyra visited both contestants for one-on-one sessions before they prepared for the final runway challenge. Cycle 7 winner CariDee English joined Jaslene and Natasha in the runway show, themed "evolution" for Australian fashion label Sass and Bide. Jaslene started off with a weak walk but ended off strong and natural. While Natasha had a wardrobe malfunction backstage, the production went on smoothly. The judges were also impressed by her professional handling of the situation when her skirt fell while on the runway.

The Big Reveal

At the final judging, the panel saw both finalists as winners and were divided over their preference of the girls' walks. Natasha's striking look got the thumbs up, but her ability to learn was both lauded and questioned. Jaslene's photographs received universal praise, though there was concern for her commercial ability. The judges were torn between Natasha's astounding progress and Jaslene's overall consistency.

After a long deliberation, the girls were called in and Jaslene was revealed to be the eighth winner of America's Next Top Model.
